The first of June, Pablo Munoz started

full-time with our work. He worked at a bottled water company for 10 years while pastoring a Baptist church for seven of those years. His wife Myriam and four children are in the service of the Lord and will be helping us with the mission church. We are meeting in a home, but we hope to establish ourselves soon close to the subway stop so all our people can attend. This is a big city and most of our people live far from the home we are meeting in. Pablo invited me to preach recently.

I preached on the Philippian jailer, and a young lady trusted the Lord as her personal Savior. She wants to be baptized along with the large group waiting for spring. It is winter here and has been cold.

We hosted a DCPI training event in the

area of “Churches Planting Churches.” I am grateful to Pastor Tim Gibson and Heritage Baptist Church in Waxahachie, TX for the great hospitality. We had 20 brethren begin the training and Larry Barker did an outstanding job. I helped very little. We had both Spanish and English leaders in the meeting, and the blessings were great. Phil Knott, Dr. John David Smith, and I recently finished a great training event in Brazil. Phil, Ricky Williams, and I went on to Bolivia for the annual Pastors’ Conference. What a joy to serve our mighty God, our great as- sociation, and brothers around the world with wonderful men of God who love our Lord and missions.

– Buddy Johnson Transition It has been an exciting past few

months in Smithville, Missouri. I had the opportunity to lead a young man to the Lord and baptize four recently. We hosted over 150 teens and sponsors for service projects during the summer months of June, July, and August. These groups made huge impacts upon our town, and we were very thankful for the help. Please pray that our relationship with Christ is evident as we build relationships with others who need Him. – Jamie Jones

When you read these words, We have returned to the States after

having spent the past 13 years and four months serving as your missionaries in

Shelley and I should be settled (whatever “settled” means) in Argentina, beginning our new ministry of encouragement and mentorship. We are excited about making a difference in areas of the world where there seems to be so much discouragement and so little (measurable) fruit. There are still so many unknowns! We are not sure what our living arrangements will be, although we do know that they won’t be very conventional. We want to be able

Ghana, West Africa. We were not recalled by the Missions office, and we have not retired. We have accomplished what we feel the LORD sent us to Africa to accomplish and are presently awaiting instructions from Him concerning our next place of service. It has been our privilege to have served as your missionaries, and we thank God for the abundant blessings He bestowed upon us as we served Him in Africa. It has been our joy to visit in many BMAA churches, as we traveled on furlough, and to make many new friends. We thank God for the faithful support given by the churches and individuals of the BMAA to our work and special project funds over the past 13 years. Please remember to pray for us and for the faithful national workers of the BMA of Africa.
