“I told her that I was going to look at the situation and see if the Lord would want me to start a
church there. She said, ‘Of course, He wants a church here. We need a good Baptist church where the Gospel is preached.’”
BY MICHEL POIRIER, BMAA Missionary to Canada
I felt so little when she told me that. I am in need of prayer. Here we have
a work in Sainte Marie, and this lady wants a church in her town, and another wants one in his town. Many decisions have to be made, but practically no one here wants to take the Gospel to their
name of Christ, people get angry and close the door. The Lord has to work harder in the heart of the French people of Sainte Marie. When I see their response to the Gospel, I thank my God for the soul-winner He sent my way. The word of God says, “He that hears my word and believeth in me hath everlasting life…” I am glad that I heard His Word and nothing else. He also said that His Word will set me free. Praise the Lord for the Gospel. I was talking to a lady from Levis, and she
T
asked me when we would start a church in her town of 100,000 people. I told her that I was going to look at the situation and see if the Lord would want me to start a church there. She said, “Of course, He wants a church here. We need a good Baptist church where the Gospel is preached.” What do you say to that ?
ime is short, and we are already facing
challenges on the street. We can talk about everything else, but when we mention the
people. It is a sad statement, and I feel respon- sible as a Christian, having the language and doing so little. The Lord sent me to be a light into the world to shine on this country of Canada, and there is so much to do. So please pray that I would be able to do more for the cause of Christ than ever before. I don’t want to come to a place where I think that I arrived. Back in Sainte Marie, we had visitors at
church the past few months. The Lord blessed in many Bible study classes. We have one lady who went through the waters of baptism in September, and other people indicate their need to attend our church regularly. Praise the Lord. We distributed many Bibles and sent many
to the country of Haiti, knowing their great need of good, French Bibles. My heart’s desire is to see more souls come to know our Savior Jesus Christ. We have many needs, and you will find them in the prayer log every month. Please remember us in prayer, especially now that I am a grand papa. n
