L.A. GAY & LESBIAN CENTER 39TH ANNIVERSARY GALA AND AUCTION Join actress Lily Tomlin as she hosts the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center’s premiere fundrais-
ing event of the year at the 39th Anniversary Gala and Auction on Saturday, November 13. The fundraising event will be attended by Los Angeles’ most important leaders in the civic, corporate, entertainment and philanthropic communities to fete the Center and to honor the contributions of those who have made such a difference in the community. The night will also honor Jane Lynch with the Rand Schrader Distinguished Achievement Award presented by Matthew Morrison. The Anniversary Gala auction sets the standard for other events, as it boasts more than 400 auction packages. Every item is donated, and all proceeds directly support the Center’s programs to build the health, enrich the lives and advocate for the rights of LGBT people. ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION MEMORY WALKS The Alzheimer’s Association of Orange County will present its 2010 Memory Walks with a walk in Huntington Beach on the boardwalk at Beach Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway on Saturday, November 6. One of the nation’s largest events to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research programs, the walk empowers participants, giving them an opportunity to take action and raise funds to fight Alzheimer’s—a growing epidemic and the fourth

That’s right, the folks at Shanti Orange County are gathering to celebrate Thanksgiving dinner Hawaiian style at the home of Andy and Pol Sandro-Yepe on Saturday, November 6, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The HIV/AIDS services organization that has been on the front lines of the AIDS crisis since 1987. They work to increase awareness, promote prevention and ensure that essential services remain available to all in need and would like the entire community to join in with great food and drinks, great friends, great entertainment and giving thanks.
