Learn to Restore Vital Energy with Yoga Poses
D
uring the bustling holiday season, taking time for oneself can seem like no
more than a wishful thought. MAC offers an opportunity for members to book a little ‘me’ time at the Yoga Friday Focus class Friday, Nov. 12 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Studio II. The class focuses on relaxing and restoring vital energy through restorative yoga. MAC yoga member Coach Amy Stone
leads students through a gentle series of yoga poses that slowly lengthen the body and the breath and calm the mind. Supported by props such as blankets and bolsters, these poses can guide people to a profound sense of rest. As an active part of the yoga practice, rest can help individuals to feel fully present in the moment and further explore their potential.
Space is limited to 35 people due to the

Volleyball Tryouts Begin
Tryouts are Sunday, Nov. 7 for U12 and U14 junior girls. The U12 tryouts are from 9 a.m.-noon (Quick Register VB403); and U14 tryouts are from 1-4 p.m. (Quick Register VB402). Tryouts are Sunday, Nov. 21 for U16 and U18 girls. The U16 tryouts are from 9 a.m.- noon (Quick Register VB401); and U18 tryouts are from 1-4 p.m. (Quick Register VB404).
