The club offers a wide variety of activities this holiday season. Children love MAC’s holiday camps and activities, and parents can celebrate at a variety of events. The club is also prepared to serve MAC families delicious holiday feasts through the end of the year.


11•1•10  Thanksgiving to-go Preorder a delicious turkey to be


prepared by the MAC culinary team and ready for pick up on Thanksgiving Day. The cost is $110 and includes: turkey, classic sage stuffi ng, cranberry chutney, vegetable, potatoes, gravy and pie. Each 12- to 14-pound turkey serves 10 people. To place an order, call 503-223-8742 by

11•15•10, 11•17•10 and 11•19•10  Holiday Handball


MAC handball players compete in this annual tournament with hopes of winning a Thanksgiving turkey. Sign up on theMAC.com.


11•17•10  Olive Oil and Wine Dinner Enjoy olive oil and wines from Durant

11•10•10  Wednesday Wine November’s wine tasting features


Veuve Cliquot, Chandon Champagne, and sparkling wines from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Reading Lounge. The cost is $10 per person and no reservations are required.


11•11•10  Veteran’s Day Holiday Day Camp


Junior sports offers a one-day camp for children ages 5 to 13. Youngsters may participate in activities such as infl atables, Wii, Guitar Hero, dodgeball, and other fun games from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The cost is $53 for members and $63 for their guests and includes lunch. Quick Register JS904


Kiyokawa Family Orchards from Parkdale, the premium apple-growing region in the Northwest, brings its apples for tasting from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Cornerstone Lounge.


Members may purchase premium apples and pears, caramel apples, and apple pie. No reservations are required.


11•22•10 - 11•24•10  Thanksgiving Holiday Day Camp


Junior sports offers this day camp for MAC children and their guests, ages 5 to 13, from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. daily. Activities include indoor soccer, basket-


ball, fl oor hockey, touch football, and whiffl e ball. In addition to these activities, air infl atables are set up before and after lunch. Swimming is available each day.


11•22•10 and 11•23•10  Holiday Racquetball


The Turkey Shoot is a popular tourna- ment for players of all skill levels. Sign up on theMAC.com.


11•24•10  Early Birds Turkey Trot


Buy raffl e tickets for $1 each or six for $5 at a table near the Front Desk. Cash is preferred. The prize drawing takes place in the Library from 6:30-7 a.m. The prizes include services, special foods, and wine. Free pastries and beverages are available. Proceeds benefi t Yolanda House, an emergency shelter run by the YWCA for abused women and children. From Wednesday, Nov. 24 until Friday, Dec. 17, the Early Birds are collecting unwrapped toys and toiletries for Yolanda
