Dog Walkers Dog walkers are a great option if you work long hours and need someone to check in mid-day to take them for a walk and let them out in the garden. Dog walkers are not normally an option if you are away on holiday. Dog walks cost upwards of £8 per
walk depending on its length and where the walk takes place.
Day Care If you want a day out and about, sometimes it is not easy to find someone to let your dog out. Day care is a good option to give your dog something different to do for the day. As with home boarding, it is a good idea to make sure companies are licensed and insured. Some companies can take lots of dogs, and some just a few. Some get off lead exercise out and about and some have a secure garden as their play area, it is up to you to decide what suits you and your dogs best. Day care costs vary in price from £8 per dog upwards depending on what is offered.
Dog Holidays If you want your dog to enjoy their holiday as much as you are enjoying yours Just Paws in Gloucestershire offers a home boarding service with a difference. Your dog enjoys off lead exercise on our farmland with other doggy playmates and sleeps in our house like one of the family. We offer this service to only a handful of dogs at anyone time, so you know your dog gets the attention it deserves whilst you are away and has the time of its life too.
Vaccinations Dogs that go into kennels, or home boarding must be up to date with their vaccinations, and preferably vaccinated against kennel cough too, (although this is not necessary for all establishments). It is also worth making sure your dog is up to date with their flea and worm treatments too.
Licensing and Insurance All kennels and boarding establishments must be licensed with their district council. To obtain a licence the establishment must follow strict rules on hygiene, welfare and have an adequate insurance policy. It is essential you use a licensed establishment to know that your dog is in good care.
