After opening its doors in 1985, Clues Menswear soon became a firm favourite for designer clothing, footwear and accessories in Northampton
After managing the store for a number of years Darren Oliver purchased Clues Menswear from the original owner in 2004. 2006 saw the business grow further when Darren also bought the neighbouring ladies boutique Cloud 8. Since then both shops have undergone extensive refurbishment and progressed with an essential brand mix and a dedicated team of helpful, friendly and approachable staff.
With the staff being self-confessed shopaholics themselves they understand the important values of customer service and an enjoyable shopping experience. The have created a far more unique, warm and welcoming environment with a friendly atmosphere where they are always willing to make that extra effort in helping you find the perfect shoes for that dress, the ideal jeans for
that shirt or the must have bag for that outfit. And of course, being a smaller independent boutique immediately offers a far more interactive and personal service with you, the customer, allowing them to understand what it is you want, what size you will need and with an honest opinion as to how it looks.
Offering a free alteration and tailoring service ensures that your new purchase fits a treat and they will even help your friends and family come Christmas or Birthdays with their free Wish List service - a chance to make certain you get what you wish for!
Both shops have worked hard over the years creating and building up a key brand index for each store which involves lots of research and using opportunities to view each and every brands collection at trade shows and
showrooms up and down the country as well as overseas. This helps them secure some of the fashion industry’s best brands such as: Diesel, Fred Perry, Religion, J.Lindeberg, French Connection, UGG Australia, Nudie, Firetrap, Lipsy, Eleven Paris, Lacoste, Tommy Hilfiger, Penguin, Nanny State, J Shoes, G-Star, Fornarina, Sugar Hill Boutique, Luke, Moda in Pelle and lots, lots more and with the majority of them being exclusively available at Clues and Cloud 8.
