Litchfield Lacrosse Begins
by Lynne Ober Former selectman, parent, and Litchfield resident Andy Santom reports that there is an effort to put together a youth lacrosse program together for Litchfield. The program will be open to both boys and girls. Depending upon interest, teams will then be established. Santom thought that U9 and U11 would begin immediately and, if there is enough interest, U7 and U13 teams would also start.
“We are trying to fill around six teams, “ said Santom,
“and want to reach out to all families in our community. We will have a winter clinic and play in the spring. We will more than likely be using the Darrah facilities.” If you’d like to explore this exciting sport or just get more information about this beginning program, please contact Andy Santom at his home number of 424-4617, or at work at 546-4505.
