Neighbors Dentist buys back Halloween candy
Aspen Orthodontics and Impressions Dental are teaming up for their 3rd Annual Halloween Candy Buy Back event.
Parents can bring their kids into the office from 4 to 7 p.m. Mon., Nov. 1 to receive one dollar for every pound of candy they bring in, with 50 cents for every dollar donated to the school of the participant’s choice. All candy collected with be donated to Operation Gratitude, an organization providing care packages to troops serving in harm’s way. Aspen Orthodontics and Impressions Dental are located at 5970 S. Cooper Rd. in Chandler.

Live entertainment, wine tastings, product samplings, olive mill tours and more greet visitors at the Queen Creek Olive Mill’s annual Harvest Festival Oct. 16 through Nov. 13.
Guests are invited to dine at the on-site Tuscan-inspired eatery del Piero, which serves fresh gourmet sandwiches, paninis, soups, salads, wine, gelato and specialty coffees.
The Mill offers a variety of unique products made by local artisans including honey, assorted nuts, jellies and coffee, along with its own line of olive oil bath and body products, flavored olive oils, balsamic vinegars, tapenades, imported wines and more.

March in Parade of Lights
Local school groups, marching bands, civic and neighborhood organizations, families, dance troupes and businesses have until Wed., Nov. 10 to submit an entry form for participation in Chandler’s annual holiday Parade of Lights. The City of Chandler hosts the event as part of its annual Tumbleweed Tree Lighting festivities on Sat., Dec. 4. The parade will begin at 7 p.m. Parade of Lights entry categories include Best Lit Musical or Dance Group, Best Lit Community Group, Best Lit Automotive Group, Best Lit Business Entry, Best Lit Animal Entry, Best Lit Mascot and Biggest and Brightest. All entries are also considered for the Judges’ Choice award, and a new Pride of Chandler: All-America City award will go to the group that best exemplifies the All-America City ideals of inclusiveness, collaboration, innovation and civic engagement.
