Ulery Announces Candidacy for State Representative

Jordan Ulery of Hudson announced his candidacy for a seat in the New Hampshire House. Ulery has served three terms in the House representing Hudson, Litchfield, and Pelham. Ulery is a strong voice calling for reduced taxes, lower fees, and an end to the prevalent “Tax and Spend” mentality of the current majority. Representative Ulery said, “The policies of the Democrat majority are harming

the middle class, harming small business, and harming those most in need of temporary assistance.” During the past four years, Ulery has worked hard to try to stem the tide of income robbing tax and unnecessary fee increases. Both in committee and on the floor, he voted against such increases as motor vehicle registration fee increase, cigar tax, beer tax, soda tax, land transfer fee increase, and a host of other increases numbering about 100.

As a legislator, Ulery was instrumental in passing important legislation, including anti-human trafficking. Representative Ulery has been a vocal proponent of legal immigration, introducing several bills on that issue with other local Representatives.

To secure state revenues and reduce the tax burden, Representative Ulery introduced legislation to lower business taxes. Such an effort has been proven to increase revenues. Other legislation to reduce government interference in business growth was sponsored or co- sponsored. Those job growth and revenue increasing proposals were voted down by the liberal majority. A full list of the legislative initiatives can be found at: www.gencourt.state.nh.us/house/ members/memberbillssponsored.aspx?member=376635. If returned to Concord for the next term, Representative Ulery will re-introduce the income- and job-generating bills killed by the current majority to help bring real stimulus to our local economy. Ulery will continue to work for the people of Hudson, Litchfield, and Pelham by voting against tax and fee increases and voting for roll-back of the economy-stifling increases of the past four years. Jordan Ulery is a long-time resident of Hudson. His two boys attended grade school in Hudson and played on baseball teams in the community. His wife of 38 years is now at home. He is a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, the Knights of Columbus, and GONH. Ulery is also State Co-Chair to American Legislative Exchange Council and an advisor to ProGun-NH. Ulery is a Life-Member of New Hampshire League of Investigators, a Licensed Private Investigator, a former paramedic, and occasional contributor of newspaper articles. Representative Jordan Ulery asks for your vote on November 2.

Hardy proved herself to be an effective legislature. Representative Hardy was the sole sponsor HB 1571 – An ACT relative to the penalty for failure to file an annual inventory of taxable property, which was approved on June 28. She also co-sponsored on SB 499-FN, which allows the Department of Health and Human Services to consolidate some administrative functions of professional regulatory boards that are overseen by or attached to the department. This bill was approved on June 1. Representative Hardy is extremely concerned with equal rights for all who live in our state, in addition to getting new jobs in clean energy and preserving our states natural resources. Equal accessibility to affordable healthcare and quality education is a top priority of hers. While proud of her hard work in helping to balance the budget, Representative Hardy remains concerned about budget cuts to the Health and Human Services and the Court System. She wants to be sure that New Hampshire continues to provide for families and children who are in need of help in this time of uncertainty, and that the courts provide speedy, fair trials for those awaiting trials.
