The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre will again play host to Asia’s biggest lighting event, the autumn edition of the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair. As the largest event of its kind in Asia, and the second biggest in the world, it provides all the right connections to grow your business. The 2009 edition saw a 13 per cent

increase over the previous year, with more than 1,780 exhibitors from 31 countries and regions participating. Not only was the geographical spread of the suppliers impressive, but the wide range of products, covering every sector of the market, was also impressive. The show takes note of the varied categories of products with its themed zones. Hall of Aurora made its debut in 2009, showcasing branded products and collections in a beautiful setting.

More than 300 companies from 23 countries and regions, including some of the biggest names in the industry, participated in the debut Hall of Aurora. The LED Lighting zone caters to the industry's fast growing sector as demand for environmentally friendly products races ahead. Some 440 companies chose this zone in 2009. The Green Lighting zone gives great exposure to exhibitors of other lighting products and technologies, which aim to reduce emissions and/or which use ‘green’ materials. Specialist exhibitors will find their market niche in zones such as Household Lighting, Commercial Lighting, Outdoor Lighting, Lighting Accessories, Parts & Components, as well as Lighting Management, and Design & Technology.

The 4th Hong Kong Lighting Design Competition will also take place at the fair, offering an opportunity for design talent to shine. The winning entries in the Student and Open groups will be on display during the fair.
