22 Special training instructed by Ohio State University Extension specialists will be offered throughout 2010 for commercial pesticide applica- tors preparing to take the state exam for pesticide applicators. The day-long training classes will be held at the Ohio Department of Agriculture in Reynoldsburg. An Ohio commercial pesticide applicator license is required for any applicators who work for a company or business applying pesticides, unless they are supervised by a licensed applicator at that company. This also extends to anyone who applies pesticides in public areas, such as school districts, townships, villages, cities, municipalities, counties, park districts, libraries, and other locations. At the end of the training, attendees will receive documentation that they have the met the requirements of a trained servi- ceperson. Applicators that are planning to take the pesticide license exam will benefit from the review of the pesticide safety, regulations, formu- lations and label interpretation. 13th annual Celebration of Youth on Friday,. The Celebration of Youth is the major charitable event for raising funds to benefit Ohio 4-H Youth Development and to commemorate distin- guished 4-H Alumni.
