When EPS foam is fabricated for the exterior environment it is coated with a synthetic hard coat. Today there are synthetic coatings available with a finish that resembles stucco and complements most Florida architecture. The synthetic coatings are very durable and can be painted with any water-based exterior house paint allowing architectural details to last for many years.
