LifePoint Church in San Tan Valley’s Copper Basin Subdivision is now open, following construction of its new 22,500 square foot facility at 28479 N. Main Street. Phase I of the two-phase project boasts a 5,500 square foot auditorium, six classrooms and an administration wing. Future plans include a coffee bar, event lawn, children’s play area and a multi-purpose court. While these items are not available yet, the plans are on the drawing board and will be added as time and money permit. “Our goal is to create a community center where all San Tan Valley residents can benefi t, not just build a worship center to be used on Sundays only,” says LifePoint Church Lead Pastor David Hinman.
The project’s general contractor, Diego Torres, owner of Prime Development and Investments, was excited that he could play a part in the building of this needed facility in San Tan Valley.
“With very little building going on in the current economy, it’s a great feeling to put individuals to work who live in the local area,” says Torres.
A free Pancake Breakfast and open house is scheduled from 8 to 11 a.m. Sat., Oct. 16 for those interested in touring the new facility. The grand opening worship services are scheduled for the next day at 9 and 10:45 a.m. Sun., Oct. 17. A number of community events are already planned, including a Drive-In Movie Night on Sat., Oct. 30, and Heart For Others 10k, 5k, and Family Fun Run scheduled for Sat. Nov. 20. LifePoint Church will be the starting and fi nishing point for the run as well as the location for the vendor booths, kid’s events and food court. LifePoint Church, a 501(c)(3) Arizona nonprofi t, Christ centered non-denominational church with a contemporary style of worship, meets at 9 and 10:45 a.m. every Sunday. They also host Celebrate Recovery, a support group for those who have “hurts, habits and hang-ups,” which meets at 6 p.m. Friday nights.
