Deadline nears for Business Woman award nominees
Nominations for the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce’s fi rst annual Business Woman of the Year Award Luncheon are due by Fri., Oct. 15. Submissions and should “highlight a business woman who has achieved excellence in her chosen fi eld; demonstrated leadership, resourcefulness and creativity in her career; and is actively involved in the Gilbert Chamber and the community.” Nominations will be reviewed and an honoree selected by the Chamber’s “What Women Want … In Business” event committee.
The Business Woman of the Year luncheon, sponsored by National Bank of Arizona, is held Tue., Jan. 25, 2011 at the San Tan Elegante Conference Center. All nominees will be honored, and Deborah Bateman of National Bank of Arizona will serve as emcee.

Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa announce the promotion of Andrew Hatton to director of sales and Kristi Mastrantuono as national sales manager. With extensive experience in the hospitality industry, Hatton contributes his luxury resort background and sales expertise to the resort’s overall goals. Hatton has spent 20 years at several properties such as, Hyatt Manchester Grand in San Diego, Hyatt Regency in Phoenix, Arizona Grande Resort and also at The Greater Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau as the Associate Director of Sales. Kristi Mastrantuono, who takes over the Midwest market for group sales, begins her new duties on Nov. 1. She has been with the resort for four years as director of travel industry sales and brings more than 15 years of sales expertise to her new position.
