Spotting a growing need for surgery alternatives for chronic pain sufferers, Dr. Ryan Wade, D.C. opened the Axis Alternative Care Center in the Presidio at Dobson Road and the Santan Loop 202 Freeway in Chandler.
Offering chiropractic and other healing care to the Chandler area for more than a decade, Wade says Axis Alternative Care provides an arsenal of natural options for injury and chronic physical problems.
“One of the most popular treatments we offer is spinal decompression,” he says, “which is very effective for a range of problems such as neck injuries, low back pain, headaches, carpal tunnel, herniated discs, spinal stenosis and sciatica.”
Spinal Decompression Therapy produces a controlled, mechanical traction on the spine using a Triton DTS Decompression Table. During the pull phase, injured discs are gently stretched apart, producing a suction force inside the disc. This draws disc bulges and herniations back into the center of the disc along with oxygen, water, nutrients and other healing substances. Wade says a strong, healthy, properly functioning disc is achieved in the majority of patients.
Another treatment offered is Cold Laser,
also known as low-level laser, resonating laser or soft laser. Used at the U.S. Olympic training facilities and by NASA in space applications, this method stimulates healing as well as reduces pain and infl ammation. Although chiropractors, physicians and other medical providers are recommending patients to the alternative therapies at Axis, referrals are not required.
