Tea Party

It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon when 18 young ladies arrived at the home of Joan and Ray Cripps in Chatham, Miramichi for a tea party. Each lady was given a place marker as they arrived. Seven round tableswere beautifully decoratedwith pots of roses in the centre of each table.

As the young ladies sat fanning themselves tea was served in demitasse cups by parlour maids, Katelyn and Erica. The menu included a variety of sandwiches, scotch cakes shaped like shamrocks, hearts and teapots, and decorated muffins. There were also cakes for the moms and dads.

Matilda Murdoch played the fiddle for the children to dance. Pin the stem on the strawberry was enjoyed with three winners. Ava Godfrey was chosen Queen for the day, as it was her birthday.
