Long served as vice president of Finance and Controller for the Golf Channel in Orlando, where he led the company’s accounting, financial reporting and analysis functions. He was Senior Director of Finance, Operations, and Administration with Bass Anglers Sportsmen Society (BASS), a division of ESPN, before his employment with the Golf Channel. His career began as a financial auditor at Deloitte & Touche in Birmingham, Alabama, where he earned his CPA certification. u


CROSSWINDS EDUCATOR NAMED ‘JUVENILE JUSTICE TEACHER OF THE YEAR’

anet Jacupke of Crosswinds Youth Services has been selected as the regional winner of the 2009 Juvenile Justice Teacher of


the Year. Jacupke is the lead educator in Crosswinds’ Rainwater Center, a day treatment program for girls ages 12 to 18 who are currently on “probationary” status or Minimum Commitment with the juvenile court. Ms. Jacupke and four other regional winners were recog-


nized at the Juvenile Justice Education Institute and Southern Conference on Corrections in Tampa on August 3rd. Her selection for this award was made by the Juvenile Justice Educational Enhancement Program, with the panel of judges representing the Florida Department of Education, Department of Juvenile Justice, public schools, and the local community. Crosswinds Youth Services is a nonprofit organization


offering programs and services for children, youth and families in crisis since 1974. u
