Bill has been entertaining fami- lies and kids for twenty-five years – long enough to have a second generation of fans come along. His performances span the generation gap. He uses song and story to paint a vibrant and hilarious picture of growing up, school and family life.

In slice-of-life vignettes about day-to-day life, Bill uses humor and a fine-tuned sense of the ridiculous to make children feel good about themselves.

Adults enjoy his performances through a double filter of past and present. Children respond from the immediacy of their own lives. With rubber-faced abandon, Bill examines human foibles, flaws and embarrass- ments, common fears and sim- ple pleasures.

On a past hiking trip to the White Mountains, Marsha Barden & Dennis McGonis of Lebanon, NH witnessed this fox trotting happily down the Cog Railway Base Road with a large fish in his mouth. He seemed quite proud of his catch! I guess I would be also, it looks like a nice trout! Thanks again to Marsha Barden & Dennis McGonis fo rsending us this great photo.

9th Annual Blessing Of The Animals In N. Woodstock, NH___

The hour long service includes music, readings, and congrega- tional participation, and ends with each animal being blessed. In the past, people have brought cats, dogs, goats, ferrets, frogs, turtles, and a hamster to be blessed.

On Sunday September 26th , at 9 am, the Episcopal Church of the Messiah, N. Woodstock, NH will hold its 9th annual Blessing of the Animals.

This tradition, begun to com- memorate the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, allows for people to bring their pets to church for a blessing.

We are also pleased that the Clark family brings at least one bear every year. Everyone goes outside to see the bear, in a truck, to be blessed.

Refreshments are served at the end of the service.

The Church of the Messiah fre- quently gives money to the

Heifer Fund, which supports the Millennium Development Goals by supplying people with the means to feed themselves and raise money. A collection will be taken at the service; the majority of which will be given to the Heifer Project.

The church is located in North Woodstock, behind the Woodstock Inn, on School Street. It is just off of Route 3.

We ask that all pets be confined by leash or some other comfort able method.

Everyone is welcome to come enjoy this informal celebratory service.
