A1 Retail is proud to be an ACID Media Supporter

Welcome to the first issue of A1 Retail magazine – the first place for news in your industry.

We aim to bring you all the latest news, events, and projects as they happen, keeping you in touch with the latest developments in the retail industry. We will also bring you a hotel directory each issue, for those of you that travel for work. A1 Retail will be teaming up with a variety of hotels across the country to offer all our readers a special business rate.

A1 Retail is also pleased to announce that we are a member of ABC. This means our circulation will be independently audited by ABC. The New West End Company has unveiled the 2020 VISION for London’s West End. The company represents 600 businesses on Bond Street, Oxford Street and Regent Street. The 2020 VISION is made up of six priorities for the West End, with ambitions for the next 10 years. These ambitions for London’s West End and the UK economy will reap sustainable long-term financial rewards, contributing to a dramatic 66 per cent increase in annual shopper spend, which will reach £10 billion by 2020, and attract a further 50 million visitors annually.

It seems that shoppers are gaining confidence again. Sales on the high street increased in July compared with the same time last year, and surpassed expectations according to the latest CBI Distributive Trades Survey. It found that while 18 per cent of retailers said that sales were lower than a year ago, 51 per cent said they increased.
