Mischief Night Carvan of Thieves

Caravan of Thieves recently released their sec- Yoga Revolution Volume One

Producer Frank Fitzpatrick got it right when he said, "Yoga in its most essential form means to connect. In this sense, artists on this CD are all Yogis. Some may practice the techniques as well, but each has created their own music from a place deep within themselves, in connection with spirit and with an intention to help each of us, as listeners, become more deeply connected to ourselves and one another."

This is apparent when

listening to this CD. You can't help but feel connected to the earth and all it's beings when listening to tracks by Krishna Das, Sarah McLachlan, Michael Franti, Sheryl Crow, Sting, Peter Gabriel and more. This beautifully put together compilation is post consumer materials and re- cycled plastic. It was created as a part of Earthtone's Music With A Heart program and proceeds benefit the Yoga Health Foundation and programs for at risk youth. This compilation will not only make your ears happy, but your heart as well.

ond album. While their first album was recorded in a studio the second album was recorded in a live setting. I love this aspect of the album the most because it really highlights the skill, creativity and personality of the musi- cians. Not only is it entertaining musically and lyrically, it also includes the fun interaction between the band mem- bers.

The songs include a mix of originals and covers

all styled in gypsy acoustic swing. Songs they perform that you may recognize include Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, Psycho Killer from the Talking Heads, Girl and Benefit of Mr. Kite by the Beatles, and you are my sun- shine mixed with singing in the rain. These are old clas- sics but hearing them played in the style of Caravan of Thieves gives them a fresh take. The original songs writ- ten by Fuzz and Carrie Sangiovanni give you a visual pic- ture from the music and lyrics. It makes me imagine the story of the song in my head. Tempos change from song to song as well as within in songs. Fuzz, Carrie, Ben and Brian each provide great musicianship with plenty of so- los and fills to complement the singing and rhythm along with adding a fun comedic influence to the show. This music kept me energized and entertained. It really made me feel like I was there and a part of the crowd. I really enjoy this album and find myself listening to it often.
