Driver Cited for Failure to Yield in Four-Car Collision


submitted by Hudson Police Department On Thursday, August 28, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Hudson police responded to a four-vehicle accident at the Wason Road/Burns Hill Road intersection. Upon arrival to the scene, it was determined a vehicle pulling out onto Wason Road from Musquash Road caused the collision. The 2005 Chevrolet Colorado was driven by Kyle Hammond, 23, of Hudson.


As Hammond pulled out onto Wason Road, his vehicle


was struck by a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe traveling west on Wason Road operated by Donandrea Frost, 31, also of Hudson. The collision of the first two vehicles caused both units to slide and hit two vehicles that were stopped on Burns Hill Road facing south. The first vehicle waiting to take a right onto Wason Road was a 2010 Nissan Rogue operated by Amy Blackwell, 45, of Hudson. The other vehicle, a 2005 Honda CRV was operated by Marian Beskostas, 55, Hudson, was waiting to take a left turn onto Wason Road. Beskostas and her male passenger were transported from the scene to the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua with minor injuries. All four vehicles were towed from the scene.


Teen Charged with Arson


submitted by Hudson Police Department On August 27 at 1:36 a.m., members of the Hudson Police Department responded to the area of Hampshire Drive for a suspicious male subject. Upon the officers’ arrival, they observed a male subject in the parking lot between building 15 and building 17 of Hampshire Drive in the vicinity of a dumpster. They observed that an article near the dumpster was on fire. As the officers approached the male subject, he fled on foot. Officers Riley and Kew pursued the male subject on foot and were able to catch him. The subject was identified as Hayden Moreau, 17, of Hudson.


He was charged with Arson and Resisting Arrest or Detention, both class A misdemeanors. The Hudson Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. The burning article could not be identified, as it was charred beyond recognition.

Moreau refused the services of the Bail Commissioner and was scheduled for arraignment at Nashua District Court on August 27.


The driver of the Chevrolet Colorado, Kyle Hammond, was cited by officers for Failure to Yield.


Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle Side Mirror


submitted by Hudson Police Department On Thursday, August 26, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Hudson police responded to the area of 82 Dracut Road for the report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival to the scene, contact was made with the operator of the vehicle, who was identified as Kristina Doucette, 18, of Hudson. Doucette was traveling northbound on Dracut Road in a 2005 Hyundai XG350 when she struck a pedestrian who was walking north on the northbound side of the road. The subject was struck with the passenger side mirror of her vehicle. Investigation at the scene identified the pedestrian as Michael Gleeson, 29, of Hudson.


Gleeson had minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene. Doucette had minor damage to her vehicle’s passenger side mirror and no injuries. This accident is still under investigation.

Hudson and Litchfield both responded to a five-alarm brush fire in Groton, MA, on August 30. The fire burned a 10- to 15-acre area under the power lines at the end of Floyd Hill Road. Eighteen communities from both New Hampshire and Massachusetts responded to the fire.

submitted by Hudson Police Department The Hudson Police Department is looking for the public’s help in identifying a subject wanted in connection with the passing counterfeit bills. On August 31, a black male subject entered CVS Pharmacy on Derry Road in Hudson and attempted to pass a counterfeit $50 bill. The management had been warned that a subject was trying to pass counterfeit bills. The management contacted the police; however, the suspect left prior to their arrival. It was later determined that the suspect passed counterfeit bills at other establishments in Hudson.

The suspect is described as a black male over six feet tall, with a muscular build. It is believed he drives a newer model, silver or gray, four-door sedan with minor damage under the passenger side headlight— possibly a Ford 500. Anyone with any information on the identity of this suspect is asked to contact the Hudson Police Department at 886-6011.
