Greetings to all BHSU alumni F
or 125 years, your alma mater has transformed lives through innovative academic pro- grams and a dynamic learning community. As we commemorate our Quasquicentennial during 2008, we celebrate our heritage and traditions. This university has much of which
we should be proud. We have responded proactively to meet the needs of the citizens of the region and state. We have evolved into a comprehensive university with high quality faculty and students.
I anticipate BHSU will continue to be viewed as a progressive university in the future. Numerous opportunities await us with the development of the Sanford Deep Underground Science and Engineering Laboratory at the former Homestake Mine site and the concomitant development of a technology corridor throughout the region. You have my commitment that your alma mater will not only be a significant part of the future development, it will be a leader in these efforts. Your ongoing support is very important to the university. Please recommend BHSU as the
university of choice for students, hire a BHSU student for an internship or employment, and contribute to the Foundation through your time, talent, or treasure. I hope to see you at the many events surrounding our Quasquicentennial Celebration (see page 3 for details).

BHSU President Kay Schallenkamp congratulates Samantha Cripps, business education and mathematics graduate candidate from Wright, Wyo., as she presents her diploma during the university's 154th commencement ceremony. Samantha was the highest ranking graduate for the fall 2007 graduating class.
