“There was a one in a million chance that Delilah would be saved, but thank God, we do not rely on chance. In about a month, God saved an entire family.”

continued from page 21 Air Force Sergeant (Julius) and was living on a military base near Pachuca. We made plans to meet, and soon we were having Bible studies on the military base with soldiers and their families. Others began to trust Christ as their Savior, and after a few weeks, Sergeant Julius asked if we would go meet one of his sisters (Margarita) in Pachuca because, “She needed to hear the truth.” We went to see Margarita, and unknown to us, Sergeant Julius’ mother (Juanita) was visiting that day and Margarita’s husband was home as well. We were able to share the Gospel, and all three of them were saved that day! To our surprise, Juanita was from Huejutla, the town where we used to live. So the following week, we visited her in Huejutla, and her husband was saved. During our next trip to Pachuca we stopped by to see Margarita, and she asked if we could speak with one of her brothers. His name is Juan, and he trusted Jesus as his Savior. A couple of weeks later after church one night in Huejutla, a young man approached me and said, “I think you know my brother.” His name was Antonio, and he is another one of Sergeant Julius’ brothers. He trusted Christ that night after the services. There was one family member left. Her name was Delilah. We began to pray for her. The next week I was sharing what God had done in this family during our evangelism training class in Huejutla. I was excited about what God had done and was asking the class for prayer concerning Delilah’s salvation. After I finished speaking, one of the students from the class stood and asked, “Brother Eric, I led a lady to Christ this week at school and her name was Delilah. Do you think it is the same lady you are talking about?” There was a one in a million chance that Delilah would be saved, but thank God, we do not rely on chance. In about a month, God saved an entire family. Most of them are married and have their own families that are also beginning to trust Jesus as their Savior. There are many stories I could tell you but there is

really just one theme: God is faithful. He continues to bless His work. Even if there was just one person in a million who has not heard the Good News, He commands us to “Go and preach the Gospel to every creature.” Please continue to pray for the spread of the Gospel in Mexico and the new church plant in Pachuca. n
