the post-graduate honors received by the Class of 2010 were a Luce Scholarship, a Gates Cambridge Scholarship, and a Coro Fellowship. Te cumulative GPA for the class was 3.78. Te Scholars and Fellows returning to the Grounds are well positioned to continue the legacy of achievement to which they are rightful heirs. Seven members of the Fourth-Year Class will live on the Lawn. A chair of the Resident Staff Program, two members of the Honor Committee, and the chair for the representative body for the Student Council are all Jefferson Scholars. A Jefferson Fellow will serve as president of the Raven Society, and another received a prestigious three-year pre-doctoral fellowship from the National Science Foundation. Professor Graebner was a devoted friend and advocate in the latter years of his life and is the only recipient of the Jefferson Scholars Foundation Award for Excellence, granted to him in the fall of 2006. As the Foundation celebrates its 30th year, its future is exceedingly bright. Te new building will host several exciting events in the coming year, including the second Forum for Interdisciplinary Dialogue and the second reunion of all Jefferson Scholar alumni. Te Jefferson Fellows Center will host teaching assistant sections led by Jefferson Fellows, seminars led by University faculty, and lectures by invited scholars who will stimulate intellectual discourse for the entire University community. Te selection competition in both the undergraduate and graduate programs will continue to attract to the Grounds remarkably talented students who otherwise would not come to the University. None of this could occur without the selfless service provided by hundreds of
volunteers who serve on our selection committees, on the National Advisory Board, on the 10
