Greg Andrew Dolinsky (j.d.) Brooklyn, New York


Greg continues to work as a real estate associate in New York City. In November of 2009, he was engaged to the beautiful Ms. Samantha Marshall (whom he met in law school), and they are plan- ning a June 2011 wedding.


Sean Kevin Driscoll Cambridge, Massachusetts


After four years as a police officer with the New York City Police Department, Sean is leaving to pursue his J.D. degree at Harvard Law School. Several Jefferson Scholar classmates have told Sean that being a law student is decidedly less cool than being an NYPD cop - and Sean is inclined to agree.


Heidi Marie Guenin (m.u.p.) Portland, Oregon


Heidi earned her Master of Urban and Regional Planning at Portland State University in spring 2010. She will complete her master’s degree in public health at Oregon Health & Science University next spring. She’s still advocating for health equity, bik- ing, knitting, brewing, and playing video games and has an extra couch if anyone visits Portland!


Meghan Tara Hession Needham, Massachusetts


Meg will begin her fourth year of medical school at Columbia in the fall. She served on the Boston Regional Selection Committee.


Vicky Ayano Jones (m.d.) Brooklyn, New York


Vicky recently finished her first year of residency in internal medicine at New York University Langone Medical Center.


Oliver Grant Longwell Washington, D.C.


Oliver was recently promoted to press secretary for Congressman Tim Bishop and continues to enjoy life and work on Capitol Hill. He enjoyed the recent Washington, D.C. alumni regional reception and looks forward to the alumni reunion in October.


Simon Cochukattil Mathews Baltimore, Maryland


Simon completed his fourth year of medical school at Johns Hopkins. He is currently working at the Hopkins Quality and Safety Research Group on national patient safety issues for the year and will graduate in 2011.


Elizabeth Watts Metcalf Atlanta, Georgia


David and Betsy enjoyed living in Atlanta this year. Betsy started a blog, glutenfreedomatlanta.com and 28

began writing for Atlanta’s Finest Dining Magazine. She also tutored and coached lacrosse at Lovett School and worked for two local farms. She enjoyed taking a break from the classroom to explore other professional opportunities. Betsy served on the Atlanta Regional Selection Committee this year.


Bsrat Mezghebe (m.a.) Washington, D.C.


Bsrat works at AECOM Technology Corporation, where she focuses on feasibility studies for industrial and commercial land development overseas. She graduated from the Nitze School of Advanced Inter- national Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University in May 2008, where she obtained a master’s degree in international relations, with a concentration in international development.


Carey Joseph Mignerey (j.d.) Atlanta, Georgia


After passing the New York bar last summer, Carey placed his legal career to the side and returned to McKinsey & Company as a senior associate (con- sultant). Since re-joining McKinsey, he has worked on a variety of sales and marketing projects in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. He continues to be an active national volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America. Carey served on the Atlanta Regional Selection Committee.


Logan Anderson Moncrief Houston, Texas


Logan lives in Houston and is working for an energy- focused hedge fund. He continues to be involved with the McIntire School of Commerce, which allows him the opportunity to travel back to Charlottesville a few times a year as a member of the Young Alumni Council. Logan also served as a member of the Houston Regional Selection Committee.


Yvonne Marie Mowery Durham, North Carolina


Yvonne is a seventh year student in the M.D./Ph.D. program at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. She is currently completing her graduate research in the pathology department, where she is investigating a new, non-toxic treatment for chronic lymphocytic leukemia. She plans to graduate in 2012 and pursue a residency in radiation oncology.


Norbert Mburu Ng’ethe


(j.d., m.b.a.) New York, New York


Norbert is a third year corporate associate at Skad- den Arps Slate Meagher & Flom in New York City. He is part of the Financial Institutions Group and his work includes mergers, acquisitions, and stock purchases of various financial institutions such as banks, insurance companies, and asset management companies. In his spare time, he enjoys running in the park, playing tennis, and playing the piano.


Anna Marie Palumbo Astoria, New York


Anna is a part-time graduate student in the music therapy program at New York University, where she also works full-time as an administrator.


Virginia Natalie Quist Austin, Texas


Virgy left her position at D.E. Shaw and moved from Manhattan to Austin, Texas. She is now trading with Assent LLC and is happy to be working during United States market hours instead of the Asian shift she had in her former position. She is enjoying all that Austin has to offer, including lots of live music, great Tex-Mex cuisine, and being closer to family.
