Shuttle Services When the ship is berthed more than 15 minutes’ walking distance from the centre of the town or beach, a shuttle service is often provided to assist your visit ashore. A small charge will be made for this service, which will be detailed in your Daily Times.
Alcohol On Board Any alcohol purchased ashore, which you wish to bring aboard ship, must be handed to the ship’s staff for safe storage until the end of your cruise.
Lost Property Any items of lost property should be registered with Reception, in the fi rst instance. In the event you suff er a loss of property you should write to Fred. Olsen Customer Services, Fred. Olsen House, White House Road, Ipswich, IP1 5LL on your return to the UK. Items of lost property are forwarded to this address where they will remain for three months waiting to be claimed. If unclaimed, we reserve the right to dispose of these items to approved charities.
Christian Service After breakfast on Sundays during days at sea, a Senior Offi cer will lead prayers and readings. On Easter and Christmas cruises a member of the clergy will lead a Christian service.
Shopping On Board The on board boutiques off er a wide range of products from luxury items including jewellery, glassware and perfumes to elegant eveningwear and casual day clothes. The on board shop stocks essential items such as camera fi lm, sun cream, toiletries and various other necessities, as well as souvenirs and cruise mementoes. The shops will be closed in some ports due to customs regulations.
Duty Free Cigarettes and cigars at tax-free prices are available to consume during your cruise or to take home via our Cabin Shopping Service. An order form and price list will be found in your cabin – simply complete the form as required, hand it to Reception and your order will be sent to your cabin.
Library All vessels have a well appointed library on board off ering a wide variety of books, including some large print books.
Casino There is a small gaming area on all four ships, where you can try your hand at Blackjack and Roulette. Please note that games of chance may not be charged back to your cabin account.

Fitness Centre All four vessels have a fully equipped fi tness centre off ering treadmills, rowing machines, exercise bikes and a variety of free weights. A choice of fi tness classes to suit most levels is available throughout the cruise, including yoga, aerobics, stretch & tone and pilates, conducted by fully qualifi ed fi tness instructors. A small charge is made for some classes. Additionally you may wish to ‘smile a mile’ (5 times walking around the deck on Black Watch and Boudicca equals 1 mile) or swim a few lengths of the pool. You can practice your golf swing in the nets aboard Black Watch, Boudicca, Braemar and Balmoral. Showers are available. You may then wish to relax in the sauna or steam room (there is no sauna or steam room on Balmoral).
Atlantis Spa and Salon Each of the company’s ships has a well equipped beauty salon and spa, the Atlantis Spa and Fitness Centre. Open from 8am to 8pm, demand for treatments is always high, but you can avoid disappointment by pre-booking hair and beauty appointments before you sail. Internet Centre For many of us, the Internet is an integral part of modern life, so you will fi nd an Internet Centre on your ship, for your convenience. Please note that the connection with the Internet on board is via satellite and therefore you may fi nd access can be slower than you would experience at home. To keep in touch with family and friends, we suggest you set up a web-based email account before your cruise, if you do not have one already. Don’t forget to bring with you the email addresses of the people you wish to contact whilst you’re away. A charge is made for use of Internet services. Use your cabin key card to swipe at the computer screen and make your connection with the Internet. You will be charged according to the time you remain connected, and this charge will appear on your cabin account in the usual way.
New To Cruising Programme For any fi rst time cruisers we off er a programme to ensure you become relaxed with your new surroundings. Just complete the reply slip in our ‘A-Z’ booklet supplied with your initial confi rmation invoices. We want to make your very fi rst ever cruise a time to remember without any anxieties. We regret that the New to Cruising programme excludes mini-cruises.
