There’s never a dull moment


A Fred. Olsen cruise is all about relaxing – but how you choose to relax is entirely up to you. Each of our ships off ers a wide choice of on board activities and pastimes, or you can just relax on deck or in one of our lounges with a good book: all of our vessels have excellent libraries. We have deck sports on all ships, and have maintained the cruise-ship tradition of playing quoits on Boudicca and Black Watch.


Once you get on board, you only have to unpack once, no matter how many destinations you visit. Then you can explore the ship and meet other passengers and the crew. If it’s your fi rst cruise with us you will be struck immediately by the welcoming warmth of the crew members – their friendliness is all part of the Fred. Olsen experience.


What’s on the menu? There’s a wide choice of restaurants, cafés and bars on all our ships, with something to suit everyone’s taste. You could start the day with a full English breakfast in one of the restaurants, or choose the continental option in the privacy of your cabin. Maybe have an alfresco lunch by the pool or in a café and in the evening you might want to have cocktails, followed by a formal dinner with friends – accompanied perhaps by wine from our extensive on board cellar. Equally popular are our late-night buff et suppers – just the thing after taking in a show.


Everything under the sun A cruise gives you the chance to fully unwind. Maybe top up the tan by the pool, with a swim every so often to cool down.


You might want some exercise, so why not join a fi tness class or visit the on board gym? We have golf nets on all ships – just the thing to perfect your swing, especially if you are on a Flagship Golf cruise (see pages 22-23). And there’s an on board Internet Centre on each of our ships so you can easily keep in touch with family and friends.


As the sun sets on a perfect day There’s something to do every evening, from cabaret to dancing, stand-up comedy to choreographed reviews, as well as theme nights to suit every taste, from 60’s rock to Country & Western. But if you prefer, you might just want to stroll the open decks: the stars, when seen from the ocean and far from land, are brighter and more numerous than you have ever seen.
