All ships in the fleet benefit from well appointed libraries, below right, enabling guests to catch up on their reading or research shore trips. Each ship also has an internet room offering similar on-line research facilities, as well as the chance to check e-mails and keep in touch with friends and relatives.


Carrying around 900 passengers, the 24,000-tonne Braemar is stylish and modern. The public rooms feature polished wood, gleaming brass fi ttings, subtle lighting and attractive fabrics, while the stunning fi ve-deck atrium gives the vessel a very light and spacious ambience.


As with all of our ships, Braemar has everything you need to enjoy your leisure time on board. The comfortable Morning Light Pub is a great place to relax with friends and the Observatory Lounge off ers spectacular views out over the bow of the ship, whilst enjoying a pre-dinner drink. There is a choice of stylish places to eat. You can choose informal dining in Palms Café, while on the Main Deck the Thistle Restaurant off ers an ever-changing fi ne dining menu. On the Marquee Deck, the Grampian Restaurant off ers the same menu as the Thistle, whilst providing a more intimate setting for formal dining.


Braemar’s Arts & Crafts Room is where activities are hosted during the special-interest cruises that are a regular feature of the vessel’s annual programme. There are also two fi ne open-air swimming pools, with a poolside bar, twin jacuzzis and even a paddling pool.


During 2011 and 2012, Braemar will cruise to the Norwegian f ords, the Canary Islands and the Baltic. It will also visit a number of important Mediterranean destinations and over the winter she will cross the Atlantic to be the host ship for our highly popular fl y- cruises around the Caribbean.


Boudicca was originally designed for world cruising and this is refl ected in its high proportion of large cabins and suites – many of which have sea views – and its spacious environment. This ambience is emphasized by the large windows in the elegant public rooms. These also off er fabulous sea views which can be enjoyed in the ship’s restaurants, or simply while relaxing with a drink.


The Oriental-styled Secret Garden Café is the place for an informal meal, while more formal dining can be enjoyed in the Tintagel and Four Seasons restaurants. Both have fi ne displays of original landscape and botanical paintings. These are also on show in the Heligan Room, named after the stunning “lost gardens” which have been recreated in Cornwall (which can be visited on Boudicca’s Around-UK cruise). On the Lounge Deck are two Jacuzzis, an exercise pool and a large swimming pool – in fi ne weather a poolside buff et is available at mealtimes. There is an additional circular pool on Marquee Deck.
