World Airline Awards The World Airline Awards were held at Aircraft Interiors Expo Hamburg in May 2010
Respected around the world as the Passenger's Choice awards, over 40 airlines assembled at in Hamburg to receive their accolades. The award winners are selected by the airline industry's most important audience - it's customers. More than 17.9 million air travellers from over 100 different nationalities took part in the 10 month Skytrax passenger survey, which included over 200 airlines, from largest international airlines to domestic carriers. The survey assessed over 38 different areas of the customer experience across airport and onboard environments These Passenger's Choice awards (established in 1999) are recognised around the world as the only global, independent passenger survey of airline standards.
Asiana Airlines was named winner of the top accolade as Airline of the year. Mr Young-Doo Yoon, President and CEO of Asiana said : “We would like to express our most heartfelt appreciation to our customers who voted us for Skytrax 2010 Airline of the Year Award.
