I hope you managed to join us in Hamburg for Aircraft Interiors Expo 2010. The event proved to be a huge success yet again, providing valuable insight into
emerging trends, and high level networking across the industry.
The show’s opening press conference, entitled “Preparing for the Upturn”, set the tone for the week ahead, with the industry supply chain looking positively towards the future. Indeed, this optimism was felt across the show floor with scores of new and innovative products launching during the event.
The 2010 edition of the Expo showcased more than 500 exhibiting companies from around the world, and welcomed over 10,400 attendees through its doors, including 846 airlines representatives from 194 individual airlines, an 8% increase upon the previous year.
Other events during the show included a special presentation of the Crystal Cabin Award winners in recognition of their achievement in cabin innovation, design and technology. This took place in the Crystal Cabin Award gallery and gave winners, including Airbus, Dasell, Lumexis & Norduyn, the chance to explain more about their winning entries in person.
The exhibition also played host to the second ‘live’ World Airline Awards ceremony which saw Asiana win the highly coveted “Airline of the Year” award.
The show may have now closed its doors for another year but we are continuing to work hard behind the scenes in order to deliver another successful event next time. We have been delighted with the feedback we have received from both exhibitors and visitors, and are pleased that the show has confirmed its position as THE global meeting place for the aircraft interiors industry. Panellist Tim Clark, President of Emirates summed up the mood: “This show is growing in stature and content every year.”
