Loomis shares stories from her kitchen, a cooking demonstration, and her depth of knowledge and apprecia- tion for the rich traditions around food and how it is grown, harvested and prepared. Loomis is the author of seven cook- books; the most recent is Nuts in the Kitchen, a lively culinary guide and comprehensive collection of more than 100 nut-centric recipes, from appetizers to desserts. Gone with the Wind memorabilia: exclusively at MAC


Partake in a luncheon and moderated discussion with legendary Hollywood make-up artist and famed movie-treasure collector James Tumblin Thursday, Sept. 30.


As the owner of the world’s largest collection of Gone with the Wind memora- bilia, valued at $66 million, Tumblin brings some of his most treasured pieces to the club. Members see Vivian Leigh’s Oscar, as well as several elaborate costumes from the celebrated fi lm. Tumblin shares anecdotes from his decades of experience as a depart- ment head at Universal Studios. The doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the speaker begins at 11:45 a.m. The price is $30 and includes lunch.
