USEDCARvalues defied predictions to recordasmall increase in June,according to newfigures formBritish Car Auctions. Average values rose by
£146 betweenMayand June 2010, butyear-on-year values remain downdespite the gap narrowing to just £48. BCAis attributing the
modest June increase to a shift in model mix and suggests thatdemand has fallen despite the figures. Thecompanysaw a16
per cent increase in the volume of premium ex-fleet models being sold in June, whichhas positively affected average values. “We’ve seen aturning point in demand over
recent weeks and both values and conversion levels have been under pressure–quite typical forthis time of the year,” saidBCA Communications Director Tony Gannon. “Dealers aresaying thatretail sales have
