John McCaig & Sons celebrate their silver anniversary in business

This year John McCaig & Sons Ltd celebrate their 25th year in business. They marked the with an open day in June. Clients, customers and suppliers attended to show their support. Director Frances McCaig said: “We were delighted at the turn out. It is with the help and support of such people that our company has been such a success.”
John and Frances McCaig
started out in business in 1985, when they worked from their family home. They bought their own premises in 2008 when 3 Old Farm Road became available.
Since buying the premises,
they have expanded the office space and plans have been approved for the addition of a lighting showroom. The opening of the showroom is
set for spring 2011. John and Frances always hoped their two sons would join the company and were delighted when both decided to do so after leaving school. Frances says: “We thought it was important that John and Jamie had a trade behind them, so they both served their apprenticeships as electricians. J “John is now Contracts Manger and Jamie is the Estimator/Buyer. MD John said: “We feel the experience both our sons have had within the company stands them in good stead for the many years they have ahead of them. “ Happy anniversary to McCaig’s, we wish them a profitable future and a continued development of the business.
