VISITOR BADGES Visitor Pass Solutions’ Non-Ex-
piring Visitor Pass is a manual visitor management system that requires no software or expen- sive equipment. It is used to help identify strangers and keep track of visitors in a facility. As visitors sign in, the system cre- ates a self-adhesive badge and
an identical visitor log at the same time. Badges can be custom printed with facility name and logo or badges can be pre-printed without any customization for a less costly security option. The expiring badge turns colour overnight, which prevents people from circumventing the sign-in process by reusing a badge the next day. As for the expiring feature itself, it has a patented one- step activation that simplifies an otherwise complicated process.

UNIFIED EVENT MANAGEMENT Check Point Software Technolo-
gies’ SmartEvent Software Blade is a unified security manage- ment solution for real-time event visibility across multiple security systems, including firewall, in- trusion prevention, data loss pre- vention and endpoints. SmartEvent filters the mass of
daily threat logs and events, highlights critical events as they occur and gives security administrators the ability to stop attacks straight from the management interface. It correlates events from the dif- ferent security solutions presenting them in a consolidated view that highlights critical security incidents. Events are consolidated
and displayed in a format based on severity and frequency using visual timelines. In addition, its interface allows administrators to add protections “on-the-fly” to remediate attacks quickly, such as implementing policy changes or blocking traffic from certain sources.
