sale last week for a trend comparison, however there were undertones higher. Slaughter cows and bulls sold $1 lower; Demand good and sup- ply light. Cows made up approximately 28 per- cent of the run, 72 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 40 percent of the offering, 48 percent heifers. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 41 percent.

Beef Exports Up, Imports Down In May CONTINUED FROM PREVIOUS PAGE The August fed cattle futures contract
ended the week at $92.27/cwt, up $2.07 compared to the previous Friday. The October contract gained $2.22 this week to end at $93.62/cwt. The De- cember contract settled at $95.65 and
February ended the week at $96.83. Feeder cattle futures ended the week
slightly lower as corn prices moved higher.
