highlights & achievements: Membership and Welcome Center


Membership BRC membership remained strong in 2009. Despite a weak economy, the BRC was able to maintain the majority of its existing


members. The BRC launched a


promotions


partnership with the Town of Breckenridge: “Main Street Stimulus” and “Free After 3 p.m.” Designed to drive day skiers into local restaurants and retail establishments to capture incremental spend,


both initiatives proved profitable and


gained positive feedback from merchants and support from the Breckenridge Police Department.


On other fronts, the membership department hosted a revitalized Member Annual Meeting,


incorporating a new


format and energy that attracted an impressive attendance. BRC membership communications improved with the new biweekly membership e-newsletter.


Welcome Center The BRC Welcome Center recorded 182,885 walk-in visitors in 2009, an 8% increase over 2008. The center continues to draw visitors in search of local attractions, as well as dining and lodging options.
