website, you’re instantly hit with information, color, unforgettable lines (“Where the Turf Meets the Surf.”) and a post-race musical line-up that is quite impressive. But what’s most striking is the RED TICKER, or First Post Countdown that highlights the days, minutes and seconds left until Opening Day; Wednesday, July 21st. You can’t help but wonder, what’s all the excitement about? Look no further than their newest tag line to find the answer: “Del Mar: Cool As Ever”. A phenomenon like no other,


the Del Mar Track continues to entice patrons from every


g e n e r a t i o n . From elite traditionalists to gambling purists to cooler-toting tourists, there’s a place for everyone and an equal chance to feel the rush of a WIN. All it takes is a passion for the horses, a little luck, and that elusive golden ticket. Gambling and winner’s odds aside, there are plenty of reasons to frequent the track, and San Diegans know it.
