Without Tears,” “Bob Books,” Promethean Boards and more.

“Our teachers are hand-selected based on their experience in early childhood education,” says Edwards. “Teachers work on providing an environment that is inviting and nurturing. Our teachers maintain their educational knowledge through 12 hours of training and workshops a year.”

All Carebear teachers are also CPR and First Aid Certified, and classrooms have a low student-teacher ratio.

“Carebear Preschool is loved by children because our teachers are hands-on and make learning exciting,” continues Edwards. “Our parents love us because we introduce learning in a welcoming atmosphere. Children build a positive self-image and strive in their academics. Parents love that their children leave

Carebear Preschool more than prepared for kindergarten.” Even snack time is different at Carebear from other preschools. Children can bring snacks to school to share with their friends once

a month, and the school is starting a new “Family Style Program” that allows children to serve themselves. “This program encourages choices and independence as well as manners and sharing,” explains Edwards. “We often have fun snacks to go along with our themes. The children participate in making them and enjoy the entire process.” Edwards says they also encourage healthy, low sugar snacks.

So what’s on the horizon for Carebear Preschools?

Edwards says they plan to open an infant care program adjacent to the Fulton Ranch site and look forward to the possibility of opening additional sites in the near future.
