Business by Joan Westlake

State-of-the-art equipment and qualified staff allow Steve Hueter and Michael Johnson, co-owners of Laguna Laser Hair Removal and Aesthetics, to offer hair and tattoo removal services and more at affordable prices, says Hueter.

“Our practice stands out from our competition for many reasons.” First, says Hueter, the most technologically advanced lasers enable clients to get the best results in the least amount of time. Medical Director Elisa Mashal, M.D. and certified medical laser technicians not only meet but exceed required continuing education to ensure the service provided is superior. The staff has more than a decade of combined laser experience and is able to provide professional services while understanding the delicate and personal nature of the business. Finally, Laguna offers pricing and specials that save clients money, Hueter adds, saying competitors’ pricing is beat by 10 percent.

Located on the northwest corner of McQueen and Guadalupe roads since November 2009, Hueter says they selected the site because it is centrally situated in the Southeast Valley and the Signature Salon building in which they have offices provides a high traffic environment.

For 15 years, Mashal operated her own cosmetic dermatology practice in north Scottsdale specializing in laser treatments, dermal fillers, Botox and skin care for

thousands of patients. Laguna provides services such as microdermabrasion, skin tightening, pigmented lesion removal and spider vein treatments in addition to tattoo and hair removal. “Hair removal is our number one service,” says Hueter. “For many, unwanted hair lowers self- esteem and confidence. We see women who are embarrassed about facial hair and men who won’t take off their shirts at the pool because of back hair.” In addition to the enhanced appearance, clients save time, effort and money spent shaving when they opt for permanent hair removal. Tattoo removal is a growing business, too, notes Hueter, as those who indulged in permanent ink in their late teens and early 20s find themselves competing in the workforce or out of the relationships they once memorialized on body parts. He says nearly half the tattooed population will experience “tattoo remorse” at some point in their lives. Laguna offers online deals at www.lagunalaserHR.com, and every

quarter there is a two-day super sale for new customers. On July 28 and 29, new clients can receive their first service on any body part for 75 percent off the regular price.

Laguna Laser, at 1714 W. Guadalupe Rd., Suite 122 in Gilbert, is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. For an appointment, call 480-292-9677.
