Thumbs Up? Thumbs Down?

“Thumbs down. Like to live in a neighborhood with no rules, deplorable roads, a place where you can expect no reasonable assurance of privacy. A place where you can rent your property on Craigs list even though it’s a violation of the rules. A place where only the almighty dollar matters to the owner. Then call the infamous owner of the park I’m sure he will be happy to take your money then tell you it’s not his problem when something happens.”
“Thumbs up to the husband and wife who
checked out the speeders’ favorite roads in town. Add to the list Geremony Drive and Veterans Memorial Parkway. With the Lawrence Road detour, speeders are buzzing right along. Even with the Municipal Complex and District Court on Geremonty and the police station and a 30 MPH sign on Veterans, drivers are still breaking the law. If only a cruiser would patrol these hot spots it might slow things down a bit.”
“Thumbs up to Ed Brooks
and Bill Weimar of Salem. You have brought to light what the Republican Party stands for and I am forever grateful. The party of ‘drill baby drill,’ no regulation and unjustified war, has made a Democrat out of me. As a former independent voter I have realized that I can never support Corporate Socialism. The party of ‘perception is reality’ may have a point with regard to manipulation of the American Public. The truth remains that the actual damage to the American public far outweighs the perceptions being spun. One need only consider the oil spill and the state of the economy to realize the destructive effects of this Corporate Socialism
that the Republican Party promotes. I ask you Mr. Brooks and Mr. Weimar why is it that your party of ‘less government’ can not stay out of our lives with regard to telling us how to live, think, marry, pray, vote, invest, educate our children and die?”
“Thumbs down to the person criticizing those of us who are misinformed about Obama. Why is everyone who opposes this guy called a racist, misinformed or hateful. You are missing the point regarding Obama and his absence at the Arlington National Cemetery. His absence was an obvious symbol of his well-publicized disdain for the military. The Presidents you mentioned as also being absent supported the military. How much longer will there be Obama apologists during this massively inept Presidency. If disrespecting this fraud for what he represents is spewing hate, then so be it.”

“Thumbs up to the Supreme Court for its June 28th decision (McDonald V Chicago). Well at least the 5 Justices who correctly interpreted the U.S. Constitution. As for the other 4 Justices, they should be impeached and removed from
the Court. It is quite apparent that those 4 used political, not constitutional reasons to reach their decision.”
“Thumbs down to all the people from Massachusetts that showed up extra early to get a parking spot at Salem High School for the town fireworks. From the main road I counted 39 cars with Mass plates in the 1 parking lot row I walked down to the field. At least 1 family I saw from Lawrence had the courtesy to get dropped off by a Lawrence cab and not take a spot. Resident parking permits anyone? Our tax dollars for their free entertainment. ‘Thumbs up’ to Salem fireworks!”
“Thumbs down to a
participant for a recent ‘thumbs up’ about President Obama with socialist, Marxist, communist, cabinet, cemetery, grease, Paul McCartney. What in heck are you talking about? Keep away from the kitchen vanilla.”
“Thumbs down for the police department in Salem NH. These policemen are blocking Lawrence Road, I don’t understand why they can only go so far, than they have to turn around. But now you have 2 policemen blocking the traffic so you can’t get by. Find something for these guys to do, and if you’re going to be on a detail, please, at least look busy.”
“Thumbs up to Lenny B. for all the work he has done at the end of Golden Oaks Drive to clean it up and make it look really nice. Thanks for all your efforts.”

“Thumbs down to the person talking about people getting food stamps and assistance they don’t know the people they are talking about. Some people … have big houses and their cars are in the driveway all day long. Are they working? It’s not appropriate.”
“Thumbs up for Salem recreation staff, they are courteous and friendly and I appreciate all their help the other day when I was signing up my daughter for tennis. Thank you very much!”
