Wood Bat League 14-year-old division grabbed their second straight victory with a convincing 14-3 win against Suncook on Saturday, July 10. Matt Rua went the distance for Hudson, giving up only two hits and no earned runs while striking out six. Jose Rodriguez was the star at the plate, going two for two with a double and triple while driving in five. Henry Williams (two hits), Jason Ferlan, RJ Younghusband, Derek Lessard, and Jacob Huggins (one hit each) also contributed. Tristan George and Robbie Flohr were solid in the field, turning a tough double play to end the game.

Hudson Hammers submitted by Hudson Hammers The Hudson Hammers of the Granite State Baseball Wood Bat League 13-14 year-old division ran their win streak to three on Tuesday night. The Hammers did it in dramatic fashion with a seventh inning rally, plating two runs to take a 6-4 victory from Suncook at Pembroke Academy. Ryan Perigny tied the game in the sixth with a sacrifice scoring Dan Teague. In the seventh, Jose Rodriguez got things going with a double, later scoring on a Derek Lessard single. Winning pitcher Rob Flohr later scored an insurance run. Paul Foley started and pitched three shutout innings, giving up only one hit. The Hammers looked to get


above .500 on Thursday night, with a game against Londonderry before playing back-to-back double- headers on Saturday and Sunday.
