International Students are those who are not eligible for UK government student funding. They are assessed as “Overseas” or “Non-EU” and pay fees as listed. Students classified as “Home” or “EU” qualify for a government subsidy, partial or full, of their course fees. These include European Union nationals who have been “ordinarily resident”, for purposes other than study, in the European Economic Area or Switzerland for 3 years before the course. The college will assess your fee status according to the information you provided in the application form.
Our Fees
Fees include tuition and college facilities, but not accommodation, insurance, airport transfer, course books (£20–£25 per term for English course books – varying costs for other courses), visits, social activities or the cost or support for a disability or learning difficulty. Exam registration and external assessment charges are included for our Academic & Vocational Training but not for English & Summer Courses. Course fees normally should be paid in advance of your studies, at or before registration.
Instalments For Academic & Vocational studies, we may agree that you can pay your course fees in 2 instalments, with an instalment charge of £100 which is added to the 1st payment
If we agree that you can pay your course fees in 2 instalments, you must pay the 1st instalment for us to register you as an STCL student, and the 2nd usually must be paid by the end of January of the academic year, or three months after you started your studies. We will send you full details about payment dates, arrangements and terms & conditions if we offer you a place. English courses have normally to be paid in full.
Visa Refusal and Refund If you are refused a visa and cannot enter the UK, the College will normally refund tuition fees already paid, except for an administration/application charge of £250, when you provide evidence of refusal (usually a copy of the refusal notice from the British Embassy / High Commission); refund details in the enrolment conditions.
Scholarships / Financial Support The College regrets that it is unable to offer any grant, scholarship or other financial support to Overseas Students. There is no UK Government funding for these students, and the College has no other sources of income to support or assist them.
