Hairdressing NVQ (Level 3)


If you are already a hairdresser and would like to take your knowledge and skills to the next level, have been working in a salon as a stylist over a period of time with no formal qualifications and would like to gain a recognised qualification or have successfully completed an NVQ Level 2 Qualification and have strong technical skills, then this is the course for you.


This course aims to provide you with a high level of knowledge and operational skills for hairdressing building on skills that you will already have. It will build confidence and bring your creative skills to the fore. It will also develop the critical communicate skills and professionalism which will take you forward to the next phase of your career.


Content


This course contains nine units that cover: monitoring procedures to safely control work operations; promoting additional services or products to clients; providing hairdressing consultation services; creatively cutting hair using a combination of techniques; colouring hair using a variety of techniques; providing colour correction services; creatively styling and dressing hair; creatively dressing long hair; contributing to the planning and implementation of promotional activities.
