Music Production Higher National Certificate (Level 4)
This course caters for mature students with a background in sound engineering or music programming. You will study production techniques, advanced programming and editing, sound to picture and current developments within the music business.
Students will develop a range of skills, techniques and personal attributes essential for successful performance in working life.
Course Content The programme comprises the following:

• Computer Music Production
• Computer Music Systems
• Contextual Studies
• Music Health and the Law
• Project Realisation • Production Analysis • Studio Production
• Sound Creation and Manipulation Assessment
Continued assessment by a series of assignments, incorporating individual and group exercises/projects, reports, essays and presentations.
Entry Requirements
Education: An A2 Level, two AS Levels, a Merit in a BTEC National in a related subject area, for example University Foundation Programme or overseas equivalent.
Level of English: IELTS: 6.0 (5.5 minimum in each section) or equivalent.
Career Opportunities Students can progress onto a university course or into music based employment. This includes Music Production, Sound to Picture, Sound Engineering or Audio-visual Support.
