• Nutrition and Complementary Medicine
• Application of Science Nursing
Numeracy & Literacy assessment at level 2 needs to be passed, and the completion of a successful interview process taking many parameters into account e.g. eligibility for NHS bursary due to residence etc. The study of Biology, Chemistry, Study Skills, Nursing Studies, English, Maths, Psychology, Chemistry and Physics will take place.
Performing Arts You will work with industry Professionals on a series of productions. Classes include Acting, Dance and Audition Techniques and much more.
Social Care
Students will study IT, Maths, Psychology,
Sociology and Social care to prepare for degree studies. You will be required to find a placement in a social care setting during the year. This should involve voluntary work of at least 20 hours in total.
Teaching
This course is for people aiming to take up teaching as a career. You will take education studies plus two further subjects chosen from a list.
Assessment You will be assessed based on essays, assignments and presentations, with some exams.
Entry Requirements
Education: A good high school leaving certificate (at least year 12) or equivalent.
Level of English: This course is for students with an education wholly or mainly in English. GCSE English equivalent necessary.
Career Opportunities A degree or other higher education at South Thames College or progress to university.
