University Foundation
Programme (Level 3) This course is especially suitable for international students who want to prepare and progress to university level studies. During the course you will develop your knowledge in your chosen subject area, improve your English skills with a focus on academic language and experience academic study in the UK. Students who study this course generally do not have an English- language background or previous education that was mainly in English.

All the different pathways have a core element of Maths and IT.
You will study 7.5 hours in your
specialist subject per week and 7 hours English language, including IELTS preparation plus 1.5 hours core elements (IT or Maths), 1.5 hours study skills and one hour tutorial. In addition you will have one morning per month study skills with our partner St. Mary’s University College (15 sessions in total). From September 2010 we will change the course structure with additional study hours.
Assessment In your subject area you will be assessed based on essays, assignments and presentations, with some exams.
In English you will take the external test/exam (IELTS), near end of course, with some continuous assignments and presentations.
