British Studies
• Upper Intermediate and Advanced levels.
• Learn more about British society and culture. Content includes: British and Anglo-Irish literature and drama; ‘pop-Britain’– music, fashion etc. from the 1960s to now; immigration in the UK; general history of the English language and much more.
• 3 hours per week (2 afternoons) x 10 weeks, 30 hours total.

Work Skills
• Upper Intermediate and Advanced levels.
• This course relates to your work experience or to moving onto a new job/career. Course content includes: guidance on the UK job application process and expectations of employers, CV preparation and interview techniques, presentations for work and career development. Work for the Edexcel WorkSkills Certificate, level 3.
• 3 hours per week (2 afternoons) x 10 weeks, 30 hours total.

Teaching Knowledge Test • Good Intermediate and above levels.
• This course prepares you for the Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test – TKT – if you want to bring your English up to the level required for Cambridge CELTA. Content includes: methodology, classroom management, language awareness (grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, etc.).
• 4 hours per week (Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, 14:00– 16:00) x 10 weeks.
