Ugur Kececi, Turkey
“Friends advised me to go to South Thames College.”
Ugur, from Istanbul, worked in marketing. He needs good English for the electronics business he plans; “I will probably trade with China and South Korea”. He started at a small school in London but friends and part- time work colleagues advised him to come to South Thames College.” For me, the most important thing is good teachers.”
At STCL, he prepared for the Cambridge First Certificate and IELTS. We asked Ugur what he would say to students interested in STCL. He included: “proper education and good management; a serious school; everything well-organised”.
Ines Maria Grau, Argentina
“It was very important for me that I knew where I was coming, and the College has done everything for taking care of me”
Ines, a Public Relations student from Argentina, came to London with her boyfriend, who was taking a Master’s in Finance.
She took our Business English course, and the Cambridge Business English Certificate Higher level, and the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (and also took a PR course in the evening).
Ines did a lot of research to find a place to study English that met her requirements: somewhere that is accredited by the British Council, provides good value-for-money, has a good location and offers a course in Business Communication.

She told us that she was impressed by the information and service that she received all through her process of application and coming to the UK. “The information prepared me so that I knew what to expect, and I feel comfortable.”
