Mark Flanagan


For over 20 years, Mark Flanagan has been the guitarist with Jools Holland’s Rhythm & Blues Orchestra. For the past decade, Mark has been working on a solo set, resulting in two albums, The Chosen Few, which was well received in the Folk/Roots community, and Down the Wire, a record more alt country and romantically inclined. Sample acoustic blues with African influences.

Charlie Dore One of the UK’s most respected singer-songwriters, Charlie Dore’s classic Pilot of the Airwaves led to a diverse list of artists recording her material, including Tina Turner, Lisa Stansfield and Jimmy Nail, for whom she wrote the UK No. 1 Ain’t No Doubt. Winner of the 2008 International Acoustic Music Awards Grand Prize, Charlie will perform with her trio a collection of 1930s hillbilly, swing and popular favourites, as well as brand new material.

The Jivin’ Instructors The Jivin’ Instructors are a nine-piece rhythm and blues, jump jive early soul good time dance band that have played extensively throughout London, the UK and Europe delivering their own blend of 1950s and 1960s dance music to Club and College circuits. Their infectious rhythms and vibrant personalities guarantee a great night of foot-stomping fun!

Django à la Créole


Accompanied by three most eminent gypsy jazz ambassadors, clarinettist Evan Christopher’s project Django à la Créole is not only an homage to the musical identity and legacy of New Orleans, but a weaving in of patterns celebrating the collaboration of Django Reinhardt with musicians like Frank Goudie, Rex Stewart, Sidney Bechet, Barney Bigard and Hubert Rostaing. Christopher also adds distinct, warm Latin American- Caribbean-Spanish moods and sounds.

Chris Jagger’s Atcha Exuding onstage energy whether playing guitar, harp, singing or thrumming the washboard, Chris Jagger is joined by superb band Atcha, smoothly blending an organic musical and cultural mix of sounds. In their very own way they incorporate rock, swamp/country blues and cajun sounds with a touch of Irish! This is fun stuff and we defy you not to tap your feet. A guaranteed good time for the last night of the Club.
